School update:
I didn't think I was going to get to go this year because of my financial aid situation,but God's good because I got my financial aid report back (the not-screwed up one,lol) and I got $8,450 worth of grants.*dies* I was like "OMG, I get to go!" So , I went and registered today, that cost $1,099.99, then I went to check and see if I could get my books for free,and it looks like I'll be able to do that as well. (which is good because books will cost me about 450.00 if I have to pay.)So I'll be taking English 102, Science, and Spanish. (Next time I see ya Daiz I'll talk to ya in Spanish....well I'll try,lol). I DO have to take math again (Damn it),so I'm going to have to get a tutor because my brain just doesn't speak math,lol. I finished pre-algebra in california but it didn't count up here which bites the big one.
So my morning was going REALLY good and I decided to look into the work study program at the College, I filled out the paper work,talked to a really sweet lady named Dotty in the business department of the school to apply for a job there, and she told me there were already 5 or 6 people that had been in last week to apply for the job. So I"m thinking, shit.... not good, but the minute I got home (literally) Dottie called and told me that I got the job!! WOOOHOOO!! They'll work around my schedule and its only part time,but that works out great for me. So I now officially work in the Business Department at the College.very good indeed. I'll be doing computer data stuff,getting the staffs paychecks ready,filing,etc.
I also got approved for my student loan so I'll be able to get my car soon!!!! That way I can just drive down to california to see my fam instead of that damn train or flying,lol. So thank you GOD for letting everything work out like it has because my butt was up a creek without a paddle,lol.

holy crap!!! I need to post,lol.I've been getting some nudges,so I'm thinking its time for a quick update;).
Lets see, I love Washington! I've adjusted pretty quickly and the people here are really nice. The people that I'm taking care of are as sweet as ever, they've just had a hard time adjusting to everything. I think (pray) with time that it will feel like home to them. I was going to start school on September 18th, but as of the moment my financial aid is SO screwed up I can't afford to go. I was really pissed/sad that it was working out like this, but I found out from Seattle Pacific University that if I go to their school (next Fall), that they'll help pay for atleast have of my tuition,and I can take the rest out on a Stafford Loan. One of my good friends lives in Seattle so she and I will probably rent an apartment together. Lets see...what else.... I changed my Major from Criminal Justice to English. My heart just wasn't in the Criminal Justice anymore,so after a year and a half doing that, I'm moving on.The good part is all of my CJ classes count for my BA in English so woohoo!!lol!!
Hmmm....went to my bestfriends(John) wedding. He married Tia, a girl from our class that he started dating our Sophmore year of High School, so I guess it was about time,lol. It was a great wedding, very pretty, and I got to see a lot of my old friends. Now I just need to get me a guy,lol. I told my mom I met her future son-in-law on the train down from Washington to Dunsmuir, BUT he was married w/two kids (damnit,lol.just my luck). He was SOO friggin hot and he and I just talked and laughed our asses off for the entire 15 hrs. (he got off the train in Oregon and Klamath Falls, too bad:( ) I'm telilng you I'm NEVER riding Amtak again unless it's a last resort. On the way down it was just one strange,wierd,ozark-child screaming-farting-burping person after another.....no matter where you went,lmao, and for some reason we were all assigned seats that day and weren't allowed to move. GAH. So Sean (thats the hot firefighter guy I was sitting next to) just sat there and cracked up the whole way home. It ended up we actually knew some of the same people which was odd.
On the train ride back up to Washington I was only 20 minutes outside of Dunsmuir and the friggin track broke from some dumb-ass freight train and had to be taken out and welded back in, so after three hours we were on our way.THEN we get outside of Klamath Falls and get stuck for FIVE FRICKEN' HOURS because another freight train had engine problems and was in our way. and the air conditioning was broke in only our car...gooood times......it was so packed that there was no where else to move. It took 25hrs for me to get home.ARGH!!!
Anywho,I caught a cold from the toothless people that were sitting behind me on the train,so I'm not feeling too hot,lol.
Atleast I made it home in one piece. :)

Today my mom woke me up and told me that one of my bestfriends dad committed suicide last night.I dont even know what to say or do.I'm in complete shock.I just saw him two weeks ago and he gave me this huge hug and we were cracking up laughing and joking.i'm in shock.he was our softball coach for years,he was my friend.poor alicia.how awful to hear not only your dads dead (whos one of your bestfriends),but to hear that he committed sucicide last night,at home,while your away.poor baby.my heart is aching.I just cant believe this happened,I know he had been sick,but it must have been a lot worse than we all knew.(if that was even the reason he shot himself.it may have been for other reasons.)anyway,thank God for my family and my friends.thank you thank you thank you God.Please pray for Alicia and Denise (her mom). james.
